Duane VIA
Activities Coordinator

Santa with resident Mary Simmons.

The residents of Blue Ridge Therapy Connection had a wonderful Christmas.

We had many groups to come in to perform for them and many of the groups brought them gifts. We would like to thank them for their time and their gifts.
Also, many churches from the area brought in Christmas cards to be given out to the residents. All these things brought smiles upon their faces. It really put them into the Christmas spirit.
We would like to thank all those who donated gifts for residents who have no family members: Rhonda Spencer and friends, Wal-Mart, Mayo Mountain Church, Michelle Errichetti and friends, and all those individuals who also donated gifts to our residents. You made them have a merry Christmas.

Many residents told me on Christmas morning that they were so happy with their gifts and they really appreciated them. Just to see their faces light up and their smiles when they opened their gifts was wonderful.

We would also like to thank all those who donated items for our Christmas stockings: Grace Baptist Church, Patrick Springs Christian Church, Stella Christian Church, Church of Christ, Providence United Methodist Church, Nancy Nelson, and Linda and Wayne Tatum.

We would also like to thank Mark Thomas of the Henry County American Legion and the Patrick County American Legion Auxiliary and many more who also donated items. I don’t know what we would have done without all the help we received for our stocking stuffers.

It’s just amazing the help we receive year after year for our residents.

I personally can’t thank you enough, but each year, I might worry about having gifts and stocking stuffers for the residents, but the good Lord always sends me angels to help with them. Thank you all.

Now, with Christmas over, we are planning for the new year, we are planning many events for the community to participate in here at Blue Ridge and the Landmark Center. Our residents love having events for the community and they get really excited to participate in them themselves.

The staff and residents of Blue Ridge Therapy Connection wish you and yours a happy new year. We hope to be seeing you soon, and we would like to thank our volunteers, families and the community for all they do to help us though the year.
