Bonnie Louise Bowman Hall, age 78, of Meadows of Dan, died Friday, July 1, 2016, at her home with her family by her side.
She was born in Burke Hollow, W.Va., on March 31, 1938, and was a daughter of the late Walter and Hazel Blevins Bowman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Esmond Dewey Hall; two brothers, Ted and Bobby Bowman; and a sister, Mildred Harris.
She was a member of Reed Island Springs Baptist Church. She was most passionate about her flowers and flower gardens and loved her dogs. She was lovingly called “Nanny” by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she adored, and felt that her greatest accomplishment in life was her four daughters.Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Lewis Largen, Sherry and Peter Spring, Betty and Steve Lineberry and Teresa and David Lyons; five grandchildren, Brittany, Christopher, Ashleigh, Lori and Zach; five great-grandchildren, Katie, Jacob, Abigail, Addison, and Aliana; one brother, Kenneth Bowman; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday at Reed Island Springs Baptist Church with Pastor Lonnie Hylton officiating. Burial was in Knowles Eden Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 18981 Jeb Stuart Hwy., Stuart, Va. 24171.
