Brenda Ann Tatum Beverly(68), gained her heavenly wings peacefully at home with her family present on 03/20/2021 due to cancer complications. She was born 03/28/1952 in Stuart, VA to the late Glenn & Dora (Reynolds) Tatum.

Brenda graduated from Stuart High School with honors in 1970. And Attended Patrick Central School until the closing. After relocating from Durham, NC, she settled in Alexandria, VA where she worked at MVM, Inc, Tysons Corner. Upon moving to Va. Beach, she joined the Va. Beach public library system (Pungo) in 2004, where she worked for 16 years. An avid reader Brenda enjoyed reading to children of all ages. Brenda was a member of the Piney Grove Baptist Church, Holland Rd., & she volunteered in the nursery where she loved reading books and bible stories to the children.

Besides her parents, Brenda is predeceased by her sister, Virginia Mae (Tatum) Bolton.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband of 33 years, Arthur Beverly US Army retired; daughter, Kimberly Clark; son, T. Raphael Clark (Shayla); sisters, Deborah Johnson (Raymond), Beverly Laverne Tatum; brother, Calvin Tatum (Doris); son-in-law, Morven Beverly (Dawn); daughter-in-law, Kundia Wood (Simon); grandchildren, Jazmin Clark (Vee), Ian & Aliayh Clark; special niece, Tiffany Foddrell; & a host of other family & friends. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Piney Grove Baptist Church Food Bank in Brenda’s name. A memorial service will be planned later on.
