Girl Scout Troop #1302 held its back to school year ceremony at Patrick Springs Park on Monday, Aug. 10. At this meeting the troop bridged several girls that had aged up to the next level of scouting. Elliott, Everly Hooker and Lettie Lawrence. From Brownies to Juniors was Rylan Holt. Then from Juniors to Cadettes were Jazzmin Glenn, Abigail Hall, Rebecca Handy, Natalie Lawrence and Taylor Ragsdale. Finally from Seniors to Ambassadors were Halo Martin and Emma Purdy. The other girls were in attendance and took part in helping these girls move up to their next level. Then all the girls in attendance joined together for a group picture on the bridge.
The troop will start its yearly meetings on Monday, Aug. 24, at Providence United Methodist Church at 6 p.m. The troop has many new activities planned for this year and the girls are excited to get started. Anyone interested in joining the girls in this troop come on out to the meeting and find out what goes on and see how the girls carry on their meetings and how exciting the year will be.
