Patrick County Farm Bureau board member Sandra Heath read “These Bees Count!”, to Karen Bocock’s first grade class at Meadows of Dan Elementary. Heath also donated the book on behalf of the Patrick County Farm Bureau to the school. The book was selected as the 2018 Virginia Ag in the Classroom Book of the Year. Heath also talked to students about importance of bees, in particularly honey bees and pollinator habitats. Patrick County Farm Bureau also donated “These Bees Count!” books to Patrick school libraries and classrooms, and to the Patrick County Public Library.
