Mike Gravely, operator of Outdoor Entertainment, won the Chamber of Commerce Community Partnership Award for his enthusiasm for providing entertainment in Stuart and Patrick County (especially for kids) with inflatables at every event, movies in the summer, and the Halloween Spooktacular. The 2016 chamber Banquet and Awards Presentation was held Friday night at the Reynolds Homestead with about 100 people in attendance.

The Large Business Award was presented to Nancy’s Candy Factory and accepted by Frank Fox and Chris Owens. The factory is a popular attraction in the Meadows of Dan area and draws tourists from across the country.

Matilda Hunsicker, owner and operator of Mattie B’s gift shop on Main Street in Stuart, won the Chamber Ambassador Award for 2016 due to her promotion of the chamber, town and county, Collins said.

The Small Business Award was presented to Tin Pen Alley, the bowling alley owned and operated by Danny and Kathy Anderson. The bowling alley has a rich history in Patrick County and is thriving under the Anderson’s ownership.
