They made many new friends, created beautiful gardens and spent precious years caring for their grandchild. Carol loved traveling, gardening, and entertaining. Her Halloween parties were epic!

Carol is survived by her husband, Talmage Russell “Russ” Fletcher, II, of Stanardsville; her daughter, Theresa Hodges and husband Matt; her granddaughter, Lydia Hodges; her sister, Sarah Brinks and husband Marcus Brinks; and cousins, Norma Atchley, Kitty Martin, Bryan Martin and friend Cathy Creech, and Kevin Martin and wife Catey.

She was predeceased by her parents, W. Jackson “Jack” and Lydia Pope Martin of Ferrum, Virginia.

Contributions in her memory can be made to Feeding Greene Inc. – The Food Pantry of Greene County, P.O. Box 13, Stanardsville, VA 22973. Memories and condolences may be expressed to the family at www.hillandwood.com.
