In a year that was anything but smooth racing, the Patrick County Chamber of Commerce is adjusting its annual awards to reflect more of what businesses and organizations did for the community during 2020. The categories have been altered to adhere to the chamber’s theme of “Racing into 2021.”
Nominations are now being accepted for the following awards:
The Pit Crew Award, to that business or organization that went above and beyond to assist our community.
The Simulator Award, best non educational virtual event that was almost like being there.
Bypass Pit Road Award, best drive thru or carry-out/curbside service.
Wave Around Award, festival, or event that you missed the most.
Tower Award, best virtual learning programming.
Rain Delay Award, the best local spot you found to escape to.
To access the nomination form, visit the Patrick County Chamber of Commerce’s website. Nominations will be accepted online until January 29, 2021. Voting will then be opened for the top three in each category. Voting will continue online through February 12, 2021.
In lieu of an official awards banquet, the chamber will present awards individually to each business or entity.
