What a great week for the 65th annual Patrick County Agricultural Fair. The weather, while warm, was dry and made for great fair evenings all week. I enjoyed getting out and meeting so many of our great businesses that service this county and surrounding areas. Thank you to Stuart Rotary for putting on another fantastic fair.

October events are right around the corner and we are putting together a listing of all Halloween/fall events. Check out our Facebook and website after Oct. 1 for the list.

We are again working with the Patrick County Young Professionals and Stuart Rotary for the ’Spooktacular’ on Halloween Night in Uptown Stuart. Businesses/individuals/organizations interested in setting up and handing out candy are asked to call the office to reserve a free space.

A great ‘Lunch and Learn’ will be held Nov. 9 at noon in the Community College in Stuart. Don Whitlow of HomeTown Computer and Electronics Repair will present “Building a Website for your Business” during the event that is free to chamber members. Reservations are required due to limited space. Call 694-6012 to reserve a spot.

Businesses that joined the Chamber in September are Blue Ridge Accounting & Tax Inc., Foley’s Autoville Inc., Martinsville-Henry County Coalition for Health & Wellness, Martinsville, Henry & Patrick Counties Association of Realtors, and Risen Lord Catholic Church in Stuart.

For more Information or to become a member, contact the chamber office at 276-694-6012 or www.patrickchamber.com.
