Carter Bank & Trust promoted recently Debi Smith, of Spencer, to one of its newly created mortgage loan specialist positions, supporting the bank’s new mortgage lending division, which was launched in late August of 2017.

Smith is currently one of four new Carter Bank mortgage loan specialists in its two-state service regions of Virginia and North Carolina. Smith serves Patrick and Henry Counties, the cities of Martinsville and Danville, and other localities in Southern Virginia.

She is known for her superior customer service skills and overall production volume of our retail mortgage products and services. Smith is a board member of the Patrick County Chamber of Commerce.
