Charles Douglas Mabe, 68, of Stuart, VA passed away on Wednesday April 21, 2021 at his home. He was born on June 11, 1952 in Patrick County, VA to the late Virginia Mabe and Joffrey Mabe. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Byron Mabe.

He installed modular homes, and was always a farmer at heart. He never complained about his struggles in life. He never met a stranger and made friends easily. He loved his wife of forty nine years, his kids and grandkids.

Surviving is his wife Shirley Mabe of the home, one daughter, Tammy Rena Mabe (Mike Hall) of Stuart, VA:one son, Kevin Douglas Mabe (Tracie) of Stuart, VA:

Four sisters, Patricia Crissman (Clyde) of Stuart,VA  Phyllis Mabe of Stuart, VA Wanda Parrish of Stuart, VA Teresa Mabe of Stuart,VA:  two brothers, Bobby Mabe (Kathy) of Stuart,VA  Roger Mabe (Sharon) of Woodlawn, VA: four grandchildren, Bridgette Hairston (Tae), Rawleigh Douglas Mabe, Addy June Mabe, Rachel Amelia Mabe, special friend, Lisa Kroplin, and special thanks to Baptist Hospital Cancer Center , Mountain Valley Hospice, Liberty Home Health, special fur baby Willow, numerous nieces ,nephews and cousins. 

A graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 23, 2021 at High Point Baptist Church Cemetery with Elder Lowell Hopkins and Terry Amos officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 pm on April 23, 2021 at High Point Baptist Church prior to the graveside service.

Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, all restrictions mandated by the guidelines set forth by the state must be followed.
