The best gifts are those given from the heart, and there is no shortage of opportunities awaiting you this holiday season.
The 2020 Patrick County Christmas Cheer campaign is now in full swing, and we are seeking individuals and organizations to bring smiles to children’s faces and restore hope to families in need. This year the program received requests from more than 130 families, seeking assistance for more than 275 children in Patrick County.
Christmas Cheer’s goal is to provide warm clothing and a few age appropriate toys for our community’s families in need.
Tags with children’s wish list items and sizes ready for pick up at Honduras Coffee Shop, Blue Ridge Furniture, Legacy Insurance in Stuart, Poor Farmer’s Market in Meadows of Dan, and Boyd’s Family Restaurant in Ararat.
Individuals and organizations can stop in any of these locations to select their child or email michelle@thinklegacy.org.
Those not interested in shopping for a child may make monetary donations to help.
Mail your donation to P.O. Box 222, Stuart, Va., 24171. Make checks payable to Patrick County Christmas Cheer.
You may also add toys, clothing, and food to donation boxes found at the following retailers and organizations: Tractor Supply, Family Dollar, Lowes Foods, Blue Ridge Furniture, Stuart United Methodist Church, and Legacy Insurance.
Grab a group of friends, your Sunday-School class or your family, and select the tag of a local child and help Christmas Cheer to make their holiday bright.
Your generous support is the reason for the season, and your gifts will help a neighbor in need.
