Mr. Clyde Allen Massey, age 88, passed away at his home on June 9, 2023. He was born on December 3, 1934, to the late William “Bill” and Delia Foley Massey. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Janet Leigh Massey and Barbara Collins; one grandson, William Russell “Rusty” Collins; two sons-in-law, John Hubbard and Jim Collins; six brothers; and four sisters. He was a logger/log truck driver all his life. He loved playing cards, hunting, fishing, and doing all things outdoors.
Mr. Massey is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Hazel Lee Scott Massey; three daughters, Carolyn Morris (John Douglas), Deborah Hubbard, Anglie Cockerham (Eddie), five grandchildren, David Hubbard (Dawna), Jennifer Hylton (Gerald), Brittany Craig (Austin), Morgan Norman (Chris), and Kristen Webb (Skyler); eleven great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Devin, Alex, Abigail, Isabell, and Adaline Yarger, Cheyenne, Delaney, and Willow Craig, and Melania and Triton Norman; one sister-in-law, Mary Frances Massey; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Mr. Massey will be held at Ross Harbour Church Cemetery on June 12th, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Richard Dodson officiating, with visitation following the service at Ross Harbor Fellowship Hall. Serving as pallbearers; Calvin L. Scarce, David Scarce, Mike Scarce, Jeff Massey, Edd Lawson, David Hubbard, Chris Norman, Skyler Webb, Gerald Hylton, and Austin Craig.
