United States Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer (CPO) Robert Collins, of Stuart, was sworn in as a Chief Warrant Officer (CWO2) on Friday, June 1 in Chattanooga, Tenn. by Commander (CDR) Molly Wike, who is Sector Ohio Valley’s Deputy Commander of District Eight.

The advancement ceremony took place at the historical civil war Point Park located on Lookout Mountain in Tenn.

Once his Oath of Office was read, Master Chief (BMCM) Sean McMahon replaced Collins’ anchors with CWO2 shoulder boards to complete the ceremony.

CWO2 Collins has been active duty with United States Coast Guard for 15 years and has completed multiple tours stateside and an overseas tour in Bahrain in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

His tour is now complete, after serving aboard a 180 foot ship stationed in Chattanooga, Tenn. from December 2014 to June 2018.

Collins soon will report to Portsmouth for his next assignment. CWO2 Collins is married to Amanda Collins and has three children Tyler, Caleb, and Madison Collins, all of Stuart.
