Andrew Collins, Patrick County High School class of 2018 graduate, signed to play baseball at Virginia Wesleyan College. During his time at Patrick County High School, Collins was honored as 2nd team all conference.

Among his most memorable moments while playing baseball at PCHS were tying the schools winning streak and beating Tunstall for the first time since 2012. Collins was one of nine seniors on the baseball team this past season.

Along with playing baseball at Virginia Wesleyan College, Collins plans to major in business management. He decided that was the college for him when he went to VWC’s campus for a summer camp. Then he said he encountered the college environment and “fell in love” partly because the coaching style mirrored what he was used to in Patrick County.

Collins added that he “felt at home,” there. Collins has met his coach and said he is excited for the upcoming seasons and looking forward to helping his new team win championships.
