Monday-Friday, July 19-23

Peters Creek Baptist Church will hold Vacation Bible School “Destination Dig” from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. each evening.

Tuesday, July 20

The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services will meet at 9 a.m. in Richmond. Additional information is available on the Virginia Regulatory Town Hall website.

Tuesday-Friday, July 20-July 23

Grace Baptist Church will hold a Vacation Bible School “Mystery Island” from 5:45 to 8:30 p.m. for ages 4-13. Bible lessons, crafts, snacks, songs, games, and a comedy show included daily. Pre-register online at hisgraceforyou.org, or register in person your first night.

Wednesday, July 21

The Stuart Town Council will meet in the Town Office at 7 p.m.

Patrick County Chamber of Commerce will hold a lunch and learn about Canva, a free graphic design platform, at 12 p.m. The workshop is free, but registration is required. To access the registration form, visit www.patrickchamber.com or Facebook.com/PatrickCountyChamberofCommerce.

Saturday, July 24

Grace Baptist Church will hold a Community Family Fun Day from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for all ages, including music, a comedy show, games and prizes, inflatable fun, a dunking booth, crafts, balloons, hotdogs, popcorn, sno-cones, and more.

The Ararat Ruritan Club will hold a Jackpot Bingo with doors opening at 4:30 p.m. and games starting at 6 p.m. Door prizes, food, fun, and fellowship are included. A regular game-set costs $20 and $10 for an additional game set. There is a $600 jackpot if you cover in 49 calls or less. Regular coverall payout is $150 and regular game payout is $50 per game.

Concord United Methodist Church will hold a hot dog supper starting at 5 p.m. The menu consists of hot dogs with condiments, baked beans, potato salad, chips, dessert, and drinks. Donations are accepted.

Monday, July 26

The Patrick County Board of Supervisors and Economic Development Authority will hold a joint meeting at 6 p.m. in the Patrick County High School Auditorium. RiverStreet Networks will give a broadband presentation at the meeting.

Wednesday, July 28

A Red Cross Blood Drive will be held at the Meadows of Dan Community Center from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. To make an appointment, call 1-800-Red Cross.

Friday, July 30

The Stuart Farmers’ Market will host the Patrick County Master Gardeners during the scheduled market hours.

Saturday, July 31

The Ararat Ruritan Club will hold a Blood Drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Stuart Farmers Market is open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Fridays. For up-to-date availability and produce, visit Facebook.com/StuartFarmersMarket.

The Coffee Break Café hosts live music on Tuesdays, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. You can bring an instrument and join in, or just come and listen.

The Patrick County Recreation Department is taking registration for youth soccer through July 30. Only elementary students ages 3-14 are eligible. Call the Recreation Department at 276-694-3917 to sign-up.

Fairy Stone State Park will hold a Monday Market every Monday through Sept. 6 at Picnic Shelters 3 & 4 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Vendors accept cash only.
