Disaster Relief Food Ministry will hold a food drive at Wal-Mart in Stuart from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Haunted Hikes at ‘Scary Stone’ State Park – guided hikes with ghost stories at 7, 8 and 9 p.m. at Fairy Stone State Park, $7 parking fee. Don’t forget your flashlight. Register at the front office or call 276-930-2424.
High Point Baptist Church, 2381 Big A School Road, Stuart, will hold a community meal featuring homemade soup from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dine-in and take-out options are available. Donations are not expected but will be accepted to benefit the Patrick County Recovery Ministry.

Disaster Relief Food Ministry will hold its mobile food distribution at Smith Brothers Trucking at 2904 Ararat Highway from 10-11 a.m. and at Meadows of Dan Baptist Church from 12:45-1:30 p.m.

Smith River Church of the Brethren in Woolwine will have a Cow Bell Service at 7 p.m. Pastors Terry Martin, Logan Boyd, and Rick Randall will speak. Refreshments follow the service.

The Meadows of Dan Women’s Club will hold a Bingo event at the Meadows of Dan Community Center, located at 2858 JEB Stuart Hwy. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the games start at 6 p.m. Raffle drawings and food available for dine-in or take-out. For more information, call 276-692-6504.

The Patrick County Food Bank will distribute food boxes at the Stuart site from 8:30-11 a.m. and again from 5-6:30 p.m.; at Fellowship Church in Ararat from 8-10 a.m., and starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Community Building in Meadows of Dan.
Thursday, Nov. 12
The Patrick County Senior Citizen Group will meet at 11 a.m. in the Hooker Building at Rotary Field. Entertainment will be provided by Philip Adams. The Reynolds Homestead will provide the meal. Attendees are requested to bring desserts to share with the group and cans of food to donate to the Patrick County Food Bank.

American Legion Post 105 meets the third Friday of the month at 6 p.m. at the Post building at 553 American Legion Road, Stuart. All are welcome.
VFW Post 7800 meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month. Premeeting meal starts at 6 p.m.; meeting starts at 7 p.m., 939 VFW Road, Patrick Springs. Qualified new members are welcome.
Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard meets on the first Tuesday of every month at the American Legion Post 105, at 6 p.m. Interested veterans are welcome to attend.
