49th Annual Lord’s Acre Sale: doors open at 7 a.m. at the Rotary Field. Food, crafts and other goods available. Worship service starts at 10:30 a.m. and the auction follows at 11 a.m.

Patrick Springs Pent. Holiness Church: is holding a revival 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday and at 7 p.m. the following Monday – Wednesday.

Haunted Trails: two nights of terror in DeHart Park from 7 to 10 p.m. 17 -18. $5 admission, and two trails, one for children and one for anyone brave enough to enter. Proceeds go to SES PTO and Patrick Co. High School Band.

BASSETT JAMBOREE, HJDB Event Center: Jam Session from 6 to 7 p.m., the featured band ‘MOUNTAIN HIGHWAY’ will perform from 7 to 9 p.m.The Gospel Tones will also perform that morning at 10 a.m. Dancers welcome. Carroll County Genealogy Club: Open every Wednesday 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. anyone interested in genealogy is invited to stop in the Historic Courthouse on Main Street, Hillsville. Regular monthly meeting will be Wednesday, September 18, at 6:00 p.m.During the month of October, special research is being done on the Montgomery family.
