Faith Community Church, 3836 Iron Bridge Road, will hold its 7th annual potluck starting at 4 p.m. Includes cruise in, silent auction, and music. Music from 5-7 p.m. by Swiftcreek, The Sycamore Sisters, and Jennifer Custer & Friends. All proceeds will go to Operation Christmas Child. Meat provided. Bring fixins and a lawn chair.

Fairystone Volunteer Fire Department will hold a golf tournament fundraiser, 4 persons captains’ choice at Gordon Trent Golf Club. Shotgun start at 9 a.m. The cost is $65 per person or $260 per team, including 18 holes of golf, 1 mulligan, and 1 red tees. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. Prizes are awarded for closest to the pin on all par 3s and cash prizes for the top 3 teams, plus a hole in one prize of $25,000. Rain date Aug. 9.

Rally for Democracy, Stuart Courthouse, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to celebrate 250 years of building an always better democracy. Attendees are encouraged to bring their American flags. A sign-making party will be held on Thursday, July 31, 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the Stuart Library. Supplies will be provided.

The Bowman Family Reunion will be held at the Red Bank Community Building, starting at 11 a.m.
Smith River Church of the Brethren will hold a Homecoming service starting at 10 a.m. with special singing, and the worship service followed by lunch.

The Patrick Community Food Bank will hold its distribution from 8:30-11 a.m. and from 5;6:30 p.m. at the Stuart site, from 8-10 a.m. at Fellowship Church in Ararat, and starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Community Building in Meadows of Dan.
