Friday, April 24
Spaghetti dinner at Dobyns Community Club Building, 4-7 p.m. The meal includes spaghetti, salad, bread, dessert, and a drink with a vegetarian sauce available upon request. The cost is $12 for an adult plate or $6 for children 12 and under. Take out and dine in options are available. The proceeds go to maintaining the property.
Wayside Community Church, 520 Wayside Road, Stuart, will host Friday Night Music and Fellowship, 6:30 p.m. The Country Boys will perform and Pastor Teddy Hiatt will deliver a message. Light meal and refreshments served after the service.
Saturday, April 25
Patrick County High School Senior BETA students will hold a car wash fundraiser at Advanced Auto in Stuart to raise money to travel to the National Sr. BETA convection and competition in Nashville this summer.
The Patrick County Master Gardener’s annual plant sale will be held in the Rotary building from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Vegetable starts, perennial and annual flowers, shrubs, iris, and daylilies. For more information, call (336) 721-0916.
Cruise-in at Sycamore Baptist Church, 79 Sycamore Church Road, Stuart, 7 a.m. No entry fee, and all cars are welcome. Free breakfast will be available. Donations will be accepted for Patrick County Christmas Cheer.

The Patrick Springs Ruritan Club will sponsor a BBQ fundraiser to support Envision Critz’s plans for a community center and park. BBQ will be served from 11 a.m. t0 3 p.m. at the Reynolds Homestead. Plates are $15 and include either a BBQ pulled pork or BBQ pulled chicken sandwich, baked beans, slaw, chips, drink, and dessert. Dine in or carry out options are available. There will also be a baked good auction and a selection of items for sale that have been donated by Envision Critz.
The Meadows of Dan Women’s Club will host Bingo Night at Meadows of Dan Community Center. Doors open at 5 p.m.; games start at 6 p.m. Food will be available for sale.

Parks and Recreation offers soccer registration for the 2026-27 school year. Students aged 3 to 14 (7th grade or under) as of July 25, are eligible to participate. Trip 1, Thursday, August 20, to see “The Classic Country Jubilee” at the historic Rudy Theatre in Selma, N.C. Trip 2, Thursday, December 3, to see “An Appalachian Christmas” at The Wohlfahrt Haus Theatre in Wytheville, Va. A limited number of seats are still available for either trip.
