The Patrick County Music Association (PCMA) will hold its free monthly concert at the Hooker Building at Rotary Field in Stuart. Barry Collins & the Mudflappers and Jason Harris & Friends will perform.
Annual meeting of Meadows of Dan Alumni, in the Meadows of Dan Elementary School cafeteria. Doors open at 5 p.m., covered dish dinner served at 6 p.m.. All attendees of Meadows of Dan School and guests are welcome.

Old-fashioned Day at Sycamore Baptist Church, starting at 11 a.m., to help celebrate 100 years of the building. History presentation, special music, and preaching are scheduled with a meal to follow.
Memorial Day Ceremony sponsored by the Patrick County American Legion Post 105 and the Patrick County Veterans Honor Guard at the Patrick Memorial Gardens at 8 p.m. Memorial Luminaries for fallen veterans are $10 and sponsors may receive the luminary at the ceremony. The Reynolds Homestead will attend the Stuart Farmers Market, 320 Chestnut Ave., Stuart, 8 a.m.-noon, to help shoppers create pressed flower bookmarks with pre-pressed flowers and herbs. The Landmark Center will also offer free blood pressure checks. Check out the fresh vegetables, eggs, coffee, soaps, knitted items, bread, baked goods, and other goods available at the market.

The Patrick County Senior Citizens Group is sponsoring two separate day trips, with each trip featuring charter bus transportation, an exceptional show performance, and a special luncheon meal. Trip 1, Thursday, August 20, to see “The Classic Country Jubilee” at the historic Rudy Theatre in Selma, N.C. Trip 2, Thursday, December 3, to see “An Appalachian Christmas” at The Wohlfahrt Haus Theatre in Wytheville, Va. A limited number of seats are still available for either trip.
