Saturday, Nov. 21

Patrick Henry Community College will hold a Basic Contractor Licensing Class from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The cost of the class is $189, and pre-registration is required at ph.augusoft.net or (276) 656-0260.

Hunters Chapel Assembly and others will hold a Thanksgiving dinner at Ararat Ruritan Building from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Takeout orders will be available, and deliveries can be made in the Ararat area only. DeHart Park Benefit Drive-Thru Dinner at Rotary Field, from 4 :30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Choice of pinto beans and soup, $10 per quart (includes cornbread). Apple dumplings are $3 each or two for $5.

The Stuart Farmers Market will host the annual Mistletoe Market from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Floyd County Historical Society program “Traditional Folk Culture of Southwest Virginia” by Ricky Cox has been postponed until May 2021.
