VBS/COMMUNITY FAMILY FUN DAY: for everyone whether or not a child attended the Vacation Bible School; for all ages, songs, comedy show, games, bounce house, face painting, dunking booth, crafts, emergency vehicles, balloons, hot dogs, cotton candy, popcorn, sno-cones and more; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Grace Baptist Church, 14087 Jeb Stuart Hwy., Stuart.

MOUNTAIN TOP FIRE AND RESCUE SUPPORT TEAM SUPPER: menu: Hawaiian luau, grilled ham and pineapple, sweet potato, baked beans, dessert and drink; adult plates: $7, child’s plate: $4; 4:30 to 7 p.m., Meadows of Dan Community Building.

YARD SALE: proceeds go to the church building fund; biscuits, coffee, sodas and water available both days; Sat. only, bake sale, hot dogs, barbecue and chips for sale; yard sale and biscuit sale open at 8 a.m., Sat. lunch begins at 10:30 a.m., Providence United Methodist Church, Patrick Springs.

 

SATURDAY, AUGUST 12

OUTDOOR CONCERT: featuring Simple Gifts of the Blue Ridge, sponsored by the Reynolds Homestead, free admission but $5 parking fee at the gate, 7 p.m., Shelter #2, Fairy Stone State Park.
