Patrick Henry Community College has sent corrected information about the Psi Phi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa’s induction ceremony which was printed in last week’s edition. The hometowns of the students inducted were incorrectly identified in the April 27 paper.
To be eligible to join this national honors society for community college students, a student must have a 3.5 grade point average and have completed at least 12 hours of course work. This academic year, 72 PHCC students joined Phi Theta Kappa.
The following local students have joined over the 2015-16 academic year:
Derrick Agee of Ararat; Joshua Peal of Patrick Springs; Ezra Carnes of Spencer; Lauren Brown, Michelle Cassell, Cheyenne Hughes, Molly Hunt, Larry Hutchens, Brittany Joyce and Debbie Vasquez-Gomez, all of Stuart; and Daniel Bryant of Woolwine.
