Cory Dixon, 34, of Stuart, died in Roanoke, on Saturday, July 16, 2016.
He was born February 16, 1982, in Frankfort, Germany to Myrna Pierce of Chicago, Ill., and Anthony A. Dixon.
He was a 2000 graduate of Patrick County High School.
Cory is survived by his father, Anthony A. Dixon of Stuart; stepmother, Brenda L. Dixon of Stuart; three children, Cory Dixon Jr., Kailil Dixon, and Brianna Mrie, all of Stuart; two sisters, Barbra Dixon of Chicago and Tonita Dixon of Orlando, Fla.; four brothers, Ajamu Dixon of Collinsville, Ronald Dixon of Charlotte, N.C., Pastor Anthony Dixon Jr. of Savannah, Ga.; and Isidor Dixon of Atlanta, Ga.
The family will receive friends one half hour prior to service and all other times at the home 393 Five Forks Rd., Stuart. The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 23, at 2 p.m. at the C.R.V. Hairston Memorial Chapel at Hairston Funeral Home, 301 Fayette Street, Martinsville.
Interment will be private.
