The Patrick County High Cougar track team had some impressive performances at the VHSL Track & Field State Championships at James Madison University, June 6-7.
Gracen Conner took second place in the 200M, with a time of 26.25, just a fraction off the winner’s time. Conner also placed 5th in the 400M.
Sadie Martin placed 4th in the 3200, and 6th in the 1600. In the boys 3200, Noah Hiatt finished 14th and Hunter Martin finished 15th, as well as 17th in the 1600. Fisher Martin took 17th in the 800.
The relay team of Ellianna Montgomery, Cameron Rakes, Callie Wood, and Sadie Martin placed 7th in the girls 4×800. In the boys 4×800, Noah Hiatt, William Overby, Hunter Martin, Fisher Martin took 9th, and the team of Fisher Martin, Nathan Callahan, Glenn Stovall, and Xavier Torres-Seda placed 15th in the 4×400.
