Court cases heard in February

The following cases were adjudicated in Patrick County Circuit Court in February, according to records in the Circuit Court Clerk’s office.


Feb. 4:

Lisa Ann Haas, of Meadows of Dan, was found guilty of four counts disorderly conduct, sentenced on each count to six months in jail, all suspended, ordered to pay a fine of $100 fine and costs. She also must complete two years good behavior.

Airelle Nowlin, of Patrick Springs, was found guilty of disorderly conduct, sentenced to 30 days in jail, all suspended, one-year good behavior, a fine of $100 and costs.

James Hoback III, of Critz, was found guilty of a probation violation; all time previously suspended was revoked and re-suspended except 90 days, must complete two-years of probation a treatment program and pay costs.

Venson Hairston, of Stuart, was found guilty of a probation violation; all time previously suspended was revoked and re-suspended except 60 days, probation remains intact, must pay costs.

Shannon Pack, of Patrick Springs, was found guilty of one count each probation violation, with all time previously suspended revoked and re-suspended except for 30 days and ordered to pay costs; possess Schedule I or II drug, sentenced to five years in the penitentiary, all suspended except 60 days, $250 fine, complete treatment program, ordered to pay costs, three years of probation.

Adam Helton, of Stuart, was found guilty of a probation violation, all time previously suspended was revoked and re-suspended except 30 days, probation remains intact, must complete a treatment program and pay costs.

Feb. 11:

Dale Helms, of Meadows of Dan, was found guilty of four counts each forgery and uttering; sentenced on one count of forgery to five years in the penitentiary, all suspended except 30 days, $100 fine and costs; sentenced on two counts to five years in the penitentiary, all suspended, a fine of $100 and costs; on all remaining counts, sentenced to five years in the penitentiary, all suspended, a fine of $100, suspended, costs and three years of probation.

Feb. 14:

John Wood, of Martinsville, was found guilty of a probation violation, all time previously suspended was revoked and re-suspended, removed from probation, must successfully complete a program, two-years good behavior, pay costs.

 

Cody Wyatt, of Patrick Springs, was found guilty of unauthorized motor vehicle, sentenced to five-years in the penitentiary, all suspended upon successful completion of a program, three-years of probation, pay costs and make restitution of $7,600.

Dustin Gregory, of Stuart, was found guilty of two counts fail to appear, sentenced on one count to a fine of $25 and costs; sentenced on second count to four-days in jail and costs.

Feb. 15:

Benjamin Manns, of Chatham, was found guilty of child abuse, sentenced to five-years in the penitentiary all suspended except one year, five-years of probation and costs.

Feb. 19:

Donald Battle, of Poquoson, was found guilty of improper driving, sentenced to pay a fine of $250 and costs.

Steven Goff, of Patrick Springs, was found guilty of speeding, 64/55, ordered to pay a fine of $54 and costs.

Amy Foley, of Patrick Springs, was found guilty of no registration, ordered to pay a fine of $10 and costs.

Feb. 25:

Jay Steven Harris, of Mount Airy, N.C., was found guilty of a probation violation, all time previously suspended was revoked and re-suspended except 10 months, four-years of probation, successfully complete treatment program or equivalent program, ordered to pay costs.

Brittany Renea Williams, of Stuart, was found guilty of a probation violation, all time previously suspended was revoked and re-suspended except 20 days, ordered to pay costs, probation remains intact.
