Cub Scouts from Cub Scout Pack 69 attended the 2016 Fall Patrick Henry District Cub Scout Spookoree camp held at Jamison Mill Recreation Area at Philpott Lake in Henry on October 1-2.
One hundred ten Cub Scouts and siblings and 90 adult volunteers were in attendance from the Patrick Henry District. The camp was held in conjunction with the Boy Scout Camporee and Canoe competition.
Cub Scouts enjoyed many activities including fishing, birdhouse building, playing human foosball, “germs alive station”, games, BB gun and archery target stations. The scouts also enjoyed a dinner, skits, campfire and movie. There was also a Sunday chapel service.
Cub Scouting is a program of the Boy Scouts of America. In Cub Scouting, boys and their families have fun and adventure in a program that builds character and instills values.
Cub Scouting embraces the values of citizenship, compassion, cooperation, courage, faith, health and fitness, honesty, perseverance, positive attitude, resourcefulness, respect, and responsibility. These values come to boys in all parts of the Cub Scout program—all while they’re having a great time with their friends and families.scouts-birdhouses
