Mr. Danny Lee Sidden, age 77 of Mount Airy, passed away on Saturday November 9, 2024, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.
He was born July 21, 1947, in Alleghany County to the late Dillon Conrad Sidden and Helen Maxine Andrews White. Mr. Sidden proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps and retired from Cooke Trucking Company as the Safety Director after many years of dedicated service.
Mr. Sidden is survived by his wife, Sharon Lorraine Bowman Sidden; stepchildren, Gina and Tony Barnes, Chris and Lee Anne Eades, Kristy East, Stacey Hubbard, Jacob Hubbard, and Cortney Bowman; step grandson, Tryston and Ashlyn Strickland; several other step grandchildren; several step great grandchildren; sister, Phyllis Stinson; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Sharon Sidden; sisters-in-law, Arlene and Russell Daniel, Virginia and Ron Clark, and Lisa Hooker; brothers-in-law, David and Vickie Bowman, and Mark and Rita Bowman; and by a host of other family and friends. +In addition to his parents, Mr. Sidden was preceded by his wife of 22 years, Brinda Ann “Kay” Payne Sidden.
A celebration of Danny’s life will be held on Saturday November 16, 2024, at 12:00pm in the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with Pastor David Bowman officiating. Inurnment will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday at the funeral home from 11:00am to 12:00pm. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
