Gayle Wade, a member of the General Joseph Martin Chapter NSDAR, addressed Colonel Abram Penn Chapter NSDAR members and guests at the April 13th meeting. The solemn history and daily remembrance of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier were discussed.
The chapter’s search for the oldest American flag in Patrick County continues. The Patrick County Historical Society and Museum boasts an American flag with forty-eight stars.
