The Colonel Abram Penn Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution is looking for the oldest U.S. Flag in Patrick County. With America’s 250th Birthday fast approaching, it is only fitting to identify the U.S. flags of the past, what each represented and their story. The flag can be a personal possession of housed in a town or county building. If you have an old flag, identify its location and how it came to be in your possession. Tell the story of this flag, its purpose, its history, its meaning to you or your family. It’s time to illuminate the flag of the United States.
