Cover Up the Sun, a clay vase by ceramist David Lunt, is the winner of the Expressions 2016 People’s Choice Award at Piedmont Arts. Lunt’s piece received eight out of 78 total votes cast during the annual exhibit, which closed Friday, July 22.
“David is a great friend of Expressions, entering work regularly and having won several awards in past years,” said Director of Exhibitions Heidi Pinkston. “We are pleased to announce that his work was recognized so favorably by the public and his fellow artists. Congratulations to David from everyone at Piedmont Arts.”
Presented by Lynwood Artists and Piedmont Arts, Expressions is one of the most popular exhibits in the museum’s exhibition schedule. This year’s exhibit featured 230 works by 121 local and regional artists.
