Dozens indicted by grand jurors

Grand jurors seated in Patrick County handed down 55 indictments on Tuesday, court records showed.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, but rather a grand jury’s finding that evidence exists to hold a trial.

Among the 25 named Tuesday:

Stacey Rae Biggs, of Stuart, one count each credit card theft, identity fraud and obtain money by false pretense, Nov. 9, 2016.

Jacob Dennis Dellenback Jr., of Ararat, two counts assault law enforcement officer, March 5.

Michael Peter Haas, of Meadows of Dan, malicious wounding, Sept. 5, 2016.

Brittany Denise Hill, of Low Gap, N.C., possess Schedule I or II Drug, Feb. 2, 2016.

William Beverly Hodges IV, prisoner possess an instrument to aid escape, April 12.

April Irvette Millner, of Martinsville, possession of firearm by convicted felon, April 2.

John Ewell Scott II, of Mount Airy, N.C., two counts larceny of a firearm, Sept. 29, 2016 and March 9.

Jason Odell Billings, of Stuart, one count each assault on a law enforcement officer, May 17; attempted malicious wounding, strangulation and threat to burn, May 3.

Crystal Chambers Marion, of Mount Airy, N.C., larceny of motor vehicle, Dec. 23, 2016.

Jacob Edward Montgomery, of Patrick Springs, larceny of firearm, April 19 through June 10.

Michael Wayne Hughes, of Stuart, violation of the Habitual Offender Act, second or subsequent offense, March 24.

Norman Ray Johnson, of Spencer, three counts grand larceny, between May 5 and May 12 and five counts petty larceny, between May 14 and May 25.

Mary Elizabeth Rader, of Patrick Springs, one count each possess ammunition by convicted felon, May 5; malicious wounding, Aug. 10.

Zachary Dalton Scales, of Ararat, two counts grand larceny, April 25 and April 27.

Chet Craft Perdue, of Meadows of Dan, one count each use of a firearm in commission of a felony, first offense, and maliciously shoot into an occupied building, June 23.

James Charles Anderson, of Claudville, one count each aggravated sexual battery of an underage victim, Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2014; contribute the delinquency of a minor, Jan. 1, 2014.

Maurice Chevelle Carter, of Ararat, possess Schedule I or II Drug, July 5.

Alphonzo J. Fuller Jr., malicious wounding, Aug. 10.

Courtney Jane Kinney, of Bassett, grand larceny, May 10.

Pricilla Ann Martin, of Stuart, four counts each forgery, uttering, obtain money by false pretense, Dec. 26, 2016 through Jan. 17; one count petty larceny, between Dec. 1 and Dec. 26, 2016.

Shannon Gray Pack, of Patrick Springs, possess Schedule I or II Drug, March 10.

Darius Ray Reed, of Mount Airy, N.C., aggravated sexual battery of underage victim, between Dec. 17, 2011 and Dec. 16, 2013.

Jessica Dawn Sparks, of Bassett, grand larceny, May 10.

Walter Elbert Spence, of Critz, obtain money by false pretense, Jan. 28.
