The Dan River Basin Association’s (DRBA’s) Annual Meeting will be held this year at the Reynolds Homestead in Critz. The event is free and open to the public. It will kick-off on 3/1 with food and refreshments at 9:30 a.m. followed by a special presentation by guest speaker Jerry Miller, Whitmire Professor of Environmental Science from the Department of Geosciences & Natural Resources at Western Carolina University. Mr. Miller will talk about microplastics in air, water, sediments and caddisflies in the headwater basins of the Southern Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina.
The Annual Celebration will also highlight DRBA’s successes in 2024, projects planned for 2025, volunteer awards, new DRBA items for sale and more.

After the event, guests are welcome to pack a bag lunch and picnic on the grounds of the Reynolds Homestead or visit a local restaurant in Patrick County.
