Elementary school menus: Week of September 19 – 23

BREAKFAST: (Free to all students) Grab and Go carts in each school; traditional breakfast in dining room:
Mon. ham croissant, toast; Tues: French toast sticks, scrambled eggs and toast; Wed.: chocolate chip muffin, biscuit and gravy, toast; Thurs.: sausage biscuit, toast; Fri.: mini corn dogs, toast.
Cereal, toast, Pop Tart, string cheese, assorted fruit and juice, and a choice of milk are offered daily.
The student must select three food items, including at least 1/2 cup fruit, to have a reimbursable meal. LUNCH: Mon.: popcorn chicken and roll or deviled eggs and roll, green beans, honey roasted sweet potatoes, fruit cup/fresh fruit; Tues: ham or meatloaf, cornbread, macaroni and cheese, green peas, turnip greens, fruit cup/fresh fruit; Wed. pizza or chicken fajita, chicken flavored rice, sautéed peppers and onions, lettuce, tomato, Cuban black bean salad, fruit cup/fresh fruit; Thurs. roasted turkey, gravy and roll or pork patty, gravy and roll, stuffing, great northern beans, coleslaw, fruit cup/fresh fruit; Fri.: grilled cheese sandwich or ham sandwich, Cougar soup, vegetables with ranch dip, fruit cup/fresh fruit, cookie.
WOW butter sandwiches (with or without jelly), toasted cheese sandwiches, chef’s salad, tossed salads, and a choice of milk are offered daily.
The student must select three food components, including at least 1/2 cup fruit or vegetable to have a reimbursable meal.
