Elsie Mae Clark Fain Phillip

Mrs. Elsie Mae Clark Fain Phillips, age 96 of Stuart, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at Blue Ridge Therapy Connection. She was born on August 2, 1927, to the late Jim and Una Clark. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her first husband, Albert Fain, a second husband, Ralph Burton Phillip; six, brothers and sisters. Mrs. Phillips was a good Christian woman and a very sweet lady who loved everyone. She loved working in her flowers and was best known as “Granny Fain”.

Mrs. Phillips is survived by three children, James Fain and wife Mary of Patrick Springs, VA, Dorothy Cockram and husband Bobby of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Patsy Hyler of Cascade, VA; six grandchildren; four step grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren; one brother, John Clark of Georgia; one sister, Rose Lawson of Patrick Springs, VA; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service for Mrs. Phillips will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. in the Community Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Elder Tim McGrady officiating. Moody Funeral Home in Stuart has been entrusted with the arrangements and online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
