The proceeds from the Empty Bowls Virtual Soup Sale event held in March were reinvested in the community during a check presentation last week.

The pre-order and drive-through sale, hosted by the Patrick County Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Reynolds Homestead, netted nearly $2,200 for the Patrick County Food Bank in memory of former director Joni Hunt, who passed away in January 2020.

Soups were donated by Lora Mahaffey, the Reynolds Homestead, Primland, Circle K, and One Family Productions/Front Porch Fest.
