Abigail Epperson finished out her senior season with the Patrick County High School Lady Cougars softball team by being named to the first team VHSL Class-2 All-State softball team.

It was a well-deserved honor for Epperson, whose season included a no-hitter against Floyd County and a one-hitter against Gretna. She also had impressive numbers at the plate, including a .519 batting average.

The Lady Cougars ended their season with a second round, 4-3 loss in the regional tournament. Epperson threw five innings without giving up an earned run in the defeat.

Epperson also received first team All-Region 2C and All-Piedmont District honors.
