The Fairystone Volunteer Fire Department Ladies’ Auxiliary met September 27 at the fire station at 6:30 p.m.
President Doris Craig called the meeting to order. After the prayer requests were taken, Emma Adams led the group in prayer. Secretary Jean Thomas gave the roll call with eight members present and read the minutes of the last meeting. Treasurer Emma Adams read the treasurer’s report.
The auxiliary thanks everyone whom helped make the country breakfast on September 17 a success. The next country breakfast will be on Saturday, October 15 from 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. The auxiliary hopes to see everyone there.
Door prize raffle tickets are on sale for $1 each and cash raffle tickets are also on sale for $20 each in which the drawing will be held on November 19 at 7 p.m.
A special thank you goes out to everyone that stopped by the Fairystone Volunteer Fire Department’s fair exhibit booth at the Patrick County Fair on September 20-24. Congratulations to Gregory Epperson for stopping by the fair exhibit booth and for guessing the exact number of M&Ms that were in the jar which was 700.
The ladies’ auxiliary enjoyed refreshments that were served by members with a September birthday.
If anyone is interested in becoming a volunteer, please check out the website at the following link: http://sites.google.com/site/fairystonevolfiredept/.
The ladies’ auxiliary appreciates the community’s support.
