Feb. circuit court cases

According to Clerk of Court Susan Gasperini, the following cases were tried during February in Patrick County Circuit Court:
•Trey Austin Morgan, Claudville, convicted of four counts of grand larceny, sentenced to five years on each count, suspended, assessed costs and restitution; convicted of two counts of obtaining money on false pretense, sentenced to 12 months in jail on each count, suspended, assessed costs and restitution.
•Chuck Hawks, Ararat, convicted of assault and battery, sentenced to 12 months in jail, suspended, assessed costs; convicted of destroying property, sentenced to 12 months in jail, suspended, assessed costs; convicted of threatening to burn or bomb property, sentenced to three years in prison, suspended, assessed costs.
•Justin Antonio Hatcher, Stuart, charged with malicious wounding, case dismissed.
•Carl Danny Shelhorse Jr., Stuart, charged with three counts of obtaining money by false pretense, complied with conditions imposed by the court, cases dismissed.
•Raekwon Keyon Manns, Spencer, convicted of illegal possession of a firearm, sentenced to five years in prison with all time suspended except nine months, assessed costs.
•Mary Kay Cox, Stoneville, N.C., charged with petit larceny, found guilty of misdemeanor shoplifting, sentenced to 12 months in jail with all time suspended except 20 days, assessed costs and restitution.
•Deshawn Michael Hughes, Stuart, convicted of contempt of court, sentenced to 10 days in jail and assessed costs.
•Steven Darrell Bonham, Martinsville, convicted of probation violation, court revoked two years of previously suspended sentence and assessed costs.
•Bryant Gregory Bowman, Stuart, convicted of failure to appear in court, sentenced to 10 days in jail and assessed costs.
•Matthew Lee Bowman, Claudville, convicted of failure to appear in court, sentenced to 10 days in jail and assessed costs.
•Robby Glenn Grona, Patrick Springs, charged with failure to appear in court, case dismissed.
•Dawn Hemmings Lindsay, Meadows of Dan, charged with shoplifting, found guilty of disorderly conduct, sentenced to 14 days in jail and assessed costs.
•Eldiberto Coronado Lopez, Patrick Springs, found guilty of probation violation, court revoked all previously suspended time, resuspended the time on condition that the defendant successfully complete the diversion center program, assessed costs.
•Timothy Don McMillian, Mount Airy, N.C., convicted of probation violation, court revoked two years and six months of previously suspended sentence, assessed costs.
•Brian Lee Scott, Patrick Springs, convicted of probation violation, court revoked six months of previously suspended sentence, assessed costs.
•Matthew Ryan Scott, Patrick Springs, convicted of probation violation, court revoked six months of previously suspended sentence, assessed costs.
•Seth Harmon Wade, Stuart, convicted of probation violation, court revoked seven months of previously suspended sentence, assessed costs.
•Cameron Elliott Wade, Stuart, convicted of probation violation, court revoked all previously suspended time, resuspended conditionally, assessed costs.
