The Slaydon’s “Pile of Christmas Spirit” took top honors in the Patrick County Chamber of Commerce’s 4th annual Festival of Trees.
“While all trees in the contest were unique and wonderful,” chamber staff tallied the likes, shares, and comments to come up with the three top vote getters, according to Rebecca Adcock, executive director.
The Woolwine Volunteer Fire Department came in second place for “Christmas at the Fire Department.” The Wilson/Smith Farm on Dry Pond Highway was third place with their “Hay bells” entry, Adcock said.
The winners received a cash award and plaque. The first and third place winners are donating a portion of their winnings to local charities, she added.
“The chamber would like to thank all our participants and the individuals who voted on the Facebook album,” Adcock said. “We look forward to continuing this event” in 2021.
