First-place anglers Hylton Scott and Travis Walker with professional angler John Crews.

The Patrick County High School Fishing team went to the Richmond Expo on January 20 to receive acknowledgement of their achievements during the 2015-fishing season. Patrick County High School had four teams that made the 2015 -2016 John Crews Elite High School BASS Fishing Team.
The angler team of Hylton Scott and Travis Walker – shown in the picture above – finished first. Logan Reynolds and Levi Carter finished sixth. Alex Plaster and Wesley Hudson finished 11th.
The PCHS Fishing Team is made of student anglers who compete in the Bass High School Nation. Each year, the top 20 teams are named and Professional Angler John Crews presents the awards to the winning anglers.
BASS High School Nation consists of a Northern Division and a Southern Division. The Northern Division includes schools near the Richmond area and Northern Virginia. The Southern Division currently consists of Patrick County, Bassett, Magna Vista and Carlisle.
