The Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources (DWR) announced its first-ever Fall Free Fishing Days on Sept. 25–27. During these three days, no fishing licenses of any kind or facilities use permits will be required for recreational rod and reel fishing.
Restrictions on designated stocked trout waters will be lifted, opening access to more than 2,900 miles of trout streams and various lakes and ponds.
