The Patrick County Master Gardeners have been busy preparing for the 10th annual Spring Gardening Symposium, titled “Master Your Garden.”

It will be held at Reynolds Homestead on March 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Participants will be treated to presentations by Judy Bowman, owner/operator of Wildwood Farm Daylilies, who will present “All About Daylilies;” Jon Vest, Virginia Extension Agent in Floyd County, who will present “Edible Landscaping;” and David Pike, CEO of Witherspoon Rose Culture, who will present “Rose Culture.”

Several vendors will also be present selling a variety of fare from herbal tea to mushroom growing kits and homemade hypertufa pots.

There will also be many exciting door prizes donated by local businesses and individuals.

For questions or more information call (276) 692-6175 or (276) 952-8302, email tasmart@embarqmail.com or visit the Patrick County Master Gardener Facebook page.

Registration is $35 and includes a delicious lunch, drinks, snacks, chances for great door prizes and a fun informative day with fellow gardeners. Advanced registration is appreciated, however registration will be accepted at the door.
