Gary Wayne Light, 59, of Spencer, Va. died on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at his home. He was born on June 18, 1959 in Henry County to the late Cleo Carmen Light and Claudia Boyd Light.
Surviving are his wife, Joan Light of the home; his mother, Claudia Boyd Light of Willis, Va.; two daughters, Sara Ann Tao and wife Beth of Los Angeles, Calif.; Mary Beth Trent and husband Allen of Johnson City, Tenn.; and one very special granddaughter, Ella Grace Trent.
He worked at Georgia Pacific in Ridgeway, Va. until he retired. Gary enjoyed riding motorcycles in his spare time with his wife and friends as well. He held a special place in his heart for his pets.
The family will receive friends at the home of his mother in Willis.
Services will be private and held at a later date.
