George Edward Evanshaw Jr., died on Monday, May 16, 2016, at Pioneer Community Hospital in Stuart.
He was born September 27, 1930, and was a son of Ruth Evelyn Diffenderfer and George Edward Evanshaw Sr. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Joe Evanshaw; and one sister, Mimi Eppley.
He was self-employed as a mechanical contractor doing HVAC duct work until he retired. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Jean Evanshaw of the home; one daughter, Linda Perry and husband Doug of Woolwine; one son, George Edward Evanshaw III of Pinehurst, N.C.; two sisters, Collette Knupp and Ann Swink; and one brother, Mike Evanshaw, all of Maryland; and three grandchildren, Jason Perry, Sarah Perry and George Evanshaw IV.
All services will be private.
