Patrick Springs Volunteer Fire Department members and several scouts.

Girl Scout Troop 1302 has learned it’s important to give back when possible.

The troop had several customers during its nut and candy sales in the fall and cookie sales in the winter who, instead of purchasing the product, wanted to donate some of the items to others.

The troop wanted to say thank you to a couple groups that help the community and have especially been helpful throughout the Covid outbreak.

The troop visited the Patrick Springs Volunteer Fire Department and the Jeb Stuart Rescue Squad.  At each of these places they donated nuts and candy and cookies for the members to enjoy as a thank you from the troop.

The girls appreciate the support the Girl Scouts get in the community.

They will be at the fair this fall, so be sure to stop by their booths and support the group with your purchases. They will once again be selling nuts and candy in the fall and cookies once again when wintertime comes.  Thank you to the community in advance for your support.  The sales are important to the girls to help them with events and activities but learning to give back is an important value to learn as they grow into adults.
