Girls tennis sweeps GW Danville, defeats Magna Vista

The Girls Tennis team got a 6-0 and 3-0 sweep in the singles and doubles categories, respectively on April 25. In the singles Madison Wright defeated Taylor Murphy 8-0, Emily Wood defeated Emily Wilson 8-0, Caroline Vernon defeated Toskyyo Ferrell 8-0, Kaylee Stanley defeated Lomioo Ouoomi 8-0, Elleigh Large defeated Triniti Deshawn 8-0, and Joelle Holderman defeated Kasey Walker 8-0.

In doubles Madison Wright and Emily Wood defeated Taylor Murphy and Emily Wilson 8-0,

Caroline Vernon and Elleigh Large defeated Toskyyo Ferrell and Lomioo Ouoomi 8-2,

Joelle Holderman and Skye Mitchell defeated Triniti Deshawn and Kasey Walker 8-0.

The Lady Cougars are now 5-6 on the season, after scoring a win over the Lady Warriors of Magna Vista for the second time this season on April 24.

In the singles category, Patrick County was 5-1 as Madison Wright defeated Hannah Nance 8-3, Emily Wood defeated Ceila Shively 8-1, Caroline Vernon defeated Anastacia Reynolds 8-3, Hannah Vaughn defeated Kaylee Stanley 8-6, Elleigh Large defeated Shailey Holland 8-1, and Joelle Holderman defeated Mia Fain 8-2.

In doubles PC was 2-1 over MV. Madison Wright and Emily Wood defeated Hannah Nance and Ceila Shively 8-4, Anastacia Reynolds and Hannah Vaughn defeated Caroline Vernon and Elleigh Large 8-5, and Joelle Holderman and Skye Mitchell defeated Shailey Holland and Mia Fain 8-4.
