GLENN E “DUD” CLARK

Mr. Glenn E. “Dud” Clark, age 84 of Stuart, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019. He was born in Patrick County on April 4, 1935, to the late Moir Ayers Clark and Margaret Alice Sheppard Clark. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Moir Page Clark. Mr. Clark honorably served in the United States Air Force and retired from DuPont with 30 years of service. Dud will be remembered as a loving husband, proud father and papa.

Mr. Clark is survived by his wife of 62 years, Darlyne Light Clark of the home; three children, Linda Hall of Bassett, William Moir Clark of Stuart, and Susan Wade and husband, Ray, Jr. of Woolwine; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one niece; and one nephew.

Graveside services for Mr. Clark were held on Thursday, May 30, 2019, at 11 a.m. in the Stuart Cemetery, with the Rev. Robert Belcher officiating. Military Rites was provided by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1079C Spruce Street, Martinsville, Va. 24112.
