A Vietnam era Medal of Honor Recipient (Command Sergeant Major Gary Littrell) and a Distinguished Service Cross Recipient from the War in Iraq (Chief Warrant Officer David F. Cooper) will be the guest speakers at the Reunion of Augusta Military Academy in late April.

Littrell will speak at the Frontier Culture Museum in Staunton, on Friday April 26 at 7 p.m.  Cooper will speak at the Gymnasium of the former AMA campus in Fort Defiance at noon on Saturday, April 27.  The public is welcome to attend for a fee ($30-Friday/$20-Saturday).

Augusta Military Academy is Virginia’s oldest military prep school.  Opened in 1865 and closed in 1984 after 118 years educating young men. AMA’s “must see” museum is open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

To RSVP, call (540) 248-3007 or email museum@amaalumni.org.
